Panasonic TC-P46S1 Plasma TV Review

Panasonic TC-P46S1 Plasma TVA very good thing about the S1 series from Panasonic is that the company has thought about delivering models in all sizes, fit for almost any pocket. Panasonic TC-P46S1 is one example, a 46 inch plasma TV that comes packed with great quality picture and black levels, without going over the top with extra features, that usually get you spending more money, just for their sake. Panasonic TC-P46U1 Plasma TV Review

Panasonic TC-P46U1 Plasma TVIn very few words, Panasonic TC-P46U1 represents the low entry model from Panasonic that comes with a 1080p resolution. This is about the only characteristic that makes this Panasonic plasma TV to have the upper hand, when compared to another cheap series from the same manufacturer, C1. While C1 has only 720p resolution, which makes it fall short in eyes of many, U1 models shine through with a superior resolution. Do not let yourself be mistaken: this 46 inch plasma TV does not have any of the fancy features that made Panasonic plasma TVs, like those from G10 or V10 series. So expect no THX certification, or Viera Cast interactive features, because you won’t get them.

Samsung UN46B8000 LCD TV Review

samsung un46b8000 LED edge lit LCD TVSamsung UN46B8500 and UN46B8000 have a 240Hz video processing refresh rate, unlike the remainder of the company’s edge-lit line, which retains a 120Hz rate. The fact is, that most users won’t see any noticeable difference in the processing rate when compared side by side. The company’s edge-lit LED LCD TVs, the B6000, B7000, and B8000 series differ from the B8500 series because the latter is equipped with localized dimming and manages to produce deeper blacks. Even so, the B8000 series, including UN46B8000, is quite capable of competing with the best HDTVs out there.

Panasonic TC-P46G10 Plasma TV Review

Panasonic TC-P46G10 is a 46 inch plasma TV considered to be the best for this diagonal size, and, the fact that it carries all the good points of the series is the basis for this statement. Among the good points of this Panasonic plasma TV, one will find great black level quality, THX certification meaning great colors right from the box, and amazing HD performance. It may not still be on par with the V10 models, the newer model from Panasonic, but it is still better than the S1 models and most HDTVs on the market.

Samsung UN46B8500 LCD TV Review

Samsung UN46B8500 LED backlit LCD TVWhile Pioneer’s Kuro is still the best HDTV out there, if you can find it, the new Samsung UN46B8500 is easily the best 46 inch LCD out there, despite its poor off-angle viewing. Samsung’s ultra-thin LED-based LCDs have been released throughout the year and have garnered a lot of attention. The company’s 6000, 7000, and 8000 models, are all solid sets, but the most recently release, the UN46B8500, has snagged the top spot for best LCD TV on the market for the moment. This model differs from the other LED sets in that its LED backlighting is not arranged along the edge of the screens. It is instead equipped with local dimming LEDs arranged throughout the screen, which doesn’t affect its slim build. And with plenty of interactive features plugged into the UN46B8500 as well, this LCD has plenty to love.
