Best 46″ Plasma TV from 2008

This 1080p 46 inch Panasonic plasma TV is packed with features. Viera Cast technology allows this plasma TV to connect to internet and display content as YouTube videos, news, local weather, stocks, etc. These features come at a price however, TH-46PZ850U being more expensive than TH-46PZ800U. Regarding picture quality, this 46" plasma TV has very good black levels, very good anti-glare screen and pretty much all the advantages of being a Panasonic. Unfortunatelly, it lacks THX certification and that means it has less accurate colors than the cheaper TH-46PZ800U. Some people will prefer its slightly oversaturated colors, however.

This 42" plasma TV, being a model of the PZ800U series, offers superb picture quality. It has THX certifications and that means accurate colors out of the box, the black levels are very good and overall if offers great quality. It does not have Viera Cast as TH-46PZ850U but many won’t miss it. Because TH-46PZ800U is a high-end plasma TV and one of the best models on the market, its price is relativelly high.

Panasonic TH-46PZ80U is a HDTV that offers great value. This 46" plasma HDTV has an 1080p display and is able to produce a pretty good picture quality. It has deep blacks as most Panasonic plasma TVs, however the colors are not very accurate, and it lacks some features present in more expensive models. However, if you are looking for a not too expensive plasma HDTV with a good picture, TH-46PZ80U is a good candidate.
