Performance

Samsung LN46B750’s performance is nothing to sneeze at, whether you enjoy watching high definition content, or standard definition channels. Image quality is also great, especially due to the fact that the manufacturer has improved greatly the black levels on its newest models, and to the accurate colors that look truly excellent.

Black Levels

One thing that can be said about Samsung LN46B750 is that it has great levels of black. An issue that has been on the wall, ever since the battle between plasma TV and LCD TV was born, the black levels on LCD TVs have evolved, and Samsung LN46B750 is the living proof. This contributes a lot to picture quality, although darker areas are not represented as detailed as seen on plasma TVs.

Color Accuracy

No one can complain about the colors displayed by Samsung LN46B750. While they may not be quite as punchy as the ones seen on the best plasma TVs, they still bring no shame to the Samsung name, as they are accurate, crisp, and very clear. A slight bluish tinge affects the darker areas, and this is one issue that LCD manufacturers still have to address, Samsung included.

Video Processing

Video processing capabilities are good on this model, although the effect of the 240Hz technology is barely visible on this particular model. The dejudder processing, however, works just fine, and blur is significantly reduced in fast moving scenes. High definition content is a pleasure to watch on Samsung LN46B750, and its capabilities recommend it.

Anti-Glare Performance

It might have not been their intention, but the glossy screen Samsung gifted the new series with does not do so well under bright light conditions. In brighter scenes, this may not look like a problem, but, in darker ones, reflections can prove to be truly distracting.

Standard Definition (SDTV) Performance

Noise reduction capabilities are great for this model, and visual artifacts are not an issue, when you want to watch standard definition content on your HDTV. Jaggies and moire are eliminated and your entire watching experience is artifact free.

Conclusion

Samsung LN46B750 is great for watching standard definition programs, and high definition video content. It offers access to web streaming content, it has great video processing capabilities, and the image quality is excellent, because of its amazing black levels and accurate colors. All in all, if you have enough money to spend, it may be a good idea to go for this LCD TV model.
